Baked Tofu

Recipe submitted by Yehuda Miklaf.

Cut each block into thirds and then in half to produce 9 pieces and use a dish that comfortably holds 18 pieces.
1 kg. (2 blocks) tofu
Mix the marinade in the blender and pour it over the tofu.
½ cup water
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup tahini
1 tablespoon oil (safflower, corn etc.)
garlic to taste (several cloves)
ginger to taste (five or six of the little frozen cubes or a couple of tbsps of grated ginger.)
Bake for 1½ hours at 180C. Check it at one hour and then add time accordingly. You want most of the liquid to be absorbed. When it is cool, scrap off most of the sludge that remains, but not all, and put into a clean and attractive dish for reheating.
