טו בשבט מגיע... ואנו חוגגים! בואו לארוחת ערב משותפת ביום ד' ה-8 בפברואר )מוצאי ט"ו בשבט), ולהרצאה של פרופ' ריצ'רד שווארץ, העוסק ביישום ערכים יהודיים בנושאים עכשוויים, שידבר [באנגלית] על "מענה ברוח היהדות למשברי אקלים, סביבה, מזון, מים ואנרגיה." ארוחת ערב מהשעה 19:00 עד 20:00, שיחה מהשעה 20:00 עד 21:00. הביאו משהו טוב לאכול (מרק, סלט או לחם ביתי – חלבי או פרווה) ותלמדו מה אפשר לעשות כבר היום כדי לעזור לסביבה ולכדור הארץ. צרו קשר עם פנינה ארביט או דבורה קולקר כדי להזמין מקום לערב טעים ומרתק זה.

Tu B’Shvat is coming… And we’re celebrating! Join us for a Tu B’Shevat pot-luck dinner on Wednesday February 8th followed by a presentation (in English) by Prof. Richard Schwartz, a prominent scholar on the application of Jewish values to current issues, on “Responding Jewishly to Climate, Environmental, Food, Water, and Energy Crises.” Dinner from 7 to 8 PM, discussion from 8 to 9 PM. Bring something good to eat (homemade soup, salad, bread – dairy or parve) and learn what you can do NOW to help the environment and the planet. ראש השנה לאילנות קרב ובא! בשבת הזאת, פרשת בא (28.1), יתקיים "קידושבט" מיוחד לכתות ז' ומעלה שבו נהנה משפע פירות ארץ-ישראלים ונברר איפה הטבע פוגש אותנו בעידן המודרני. בואו בהמוניכם ורשמו כאן מה אתם מביאים!

נוער ידידיה (כתה ז' ומעלה) מוזמן לערב "צאו מהסרט". בואו לקחת הפסקה מהעומס של הלימודים ולהנות מערב סרט ופופקורן. הערב יתקיים ביום רביעי ה-1.2 בשעה 20:00, במרכז דב.

עם התפילה בא התיאבון! בשבת פרשת יתרו (11.2) נקיים מניין שחרית לנוער ולאחריו ארוחה. בואו להשוויץ בכישורי הבישול שלכם ורישמו כאן מה אתם מביאים לארוחה.

Youth Corner

This Shabbat, Parashat Bo, January 28, we will have a special “kiddushevat” where we will enjoy the wide variety of Israeli fruits and discuss how nature is important to us in the modern age. Everyone in 7th grade and up is invited. Please sign up here and tell us what you are bringing.

Yedidya youth grade 7 and higher are invited to a “Movie Night”. Take a break from the burden of school and enjoy and a movie and popcorn. Wednesday February 1 at 8 PM in Mercaz Dov.

You can work up an appetite while praying! On Shabbat morning February 11 there will be a youth minyan for Shacharit followed by lunch. Show off your cooking skills and sign up here.

שירת אהבה על שפת השבת – מלווה מלכה לציון יום השנה לפטירתו של בעל ה'שפת אמת'.

במוצאי שבת פרשת בא, בשעה 20:00, אור ל-ה' שבט, 28.1.2012 בקהילת ידידיה.

מלווה המלכה מוקדש לעילוי נשמת רבי יהודה אריה לייב אלתר זצ"ל (1847-1905) הלא הוא ה'שפת אמת'. רבי אלתר שימש בראש חסידות גור במשך 35 שנה, והשנה יום פטירתו חל במוצ"ש פרשת בא (ה' בשבט). בדרכו הייחודית ה'שפת אמת' הוריש לנו אוצר בלום של תובנות המזמינות אותנו להתנסות בממדי עומק חדשים של קדושת השבת. על כן, נקדיש את מלווה המלכה ל"עשיית" שפת אמת: נבקש למשוך מקצת קדושת השבת לחיינו אנו, באמצעות שירה מכוונת של ניגונים ושירי אהבה לשבת. בתכנית:

·         דברים 'על שפת האמת': אביגיל אנטמן וגבי שטרנגר

·         הנחית שירת הקודש: אלי הולצר

·         ליווי מוזיקאלי: רותי לירז-שפירא, מיכאל פייגנסון, תאיר אברמוביץ

·         ובעיקר, שירת קודש מתוך נשמה יתירה: כלל המשתתפים

מומלץ להוריד, להאזין וללמוד מראש מקצת השירים והניגונים, במיוחד הניגון של תלמידי הצמח צדק וניגון "חסרי הבית" של מודז'יץ. אודה לכם על אישור השתתפות. אם אתם מצרפים חברים, נא הודיעו על מספרם. לכל שאלה נוספת נא ליצור קשר עם אלי הולצר.

 

A love poem on the language of the Shabbat – join in a Melaveh Malkah to mark the anniversary of the death of the Sefat Emet on Saturday night, January 28 at 8 PM at Kehillat Yedidya.

The Melaveh Malkah is dedicated to Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leib Alter zt”l (1847-1905), also known as the “Sefat Emet”, who served as the leader of the Gur Hassidim for 35 years. The anniversary of his death is Motzai Shabbat of Parshat Bo. The “Sefat Emet” left us a rich treasury of insights that invite us to experience new dimensions of Shabbat holiness. Therefore, we dedicate the Melaveh Malkah to speaking the language of truth. We will extend some of the Shabbat holiness into our own lives by singing songs of love for the Shabbat. The program includes:

·         Remarks about the Sefat Emet:  Avigail Entman and Gabi Strenger

·         Guidance in the sacred song:  Eli Holtzer

·         Musical accompaniment: Ruthie Liraz-Shapiro, Michael Faigenson, and Tair Abramowitz

·         And primarily, holy songs from our “extra” soul:  All participants

Please download, listen and study some of the songs and melodies in advance, particularly the tune of the followers of the Tzemach Tzedek and the Modzhitz melody of the homeless. ערב לכבוד הספר "השירה הזאת" מאת ד"ר בלה שור יתקיים במוצאי שבת פרשת יתרו, 11.2, אור לי"ט שבט, בקהילת ידידיה, בשעה 20:15. בתוכנית: פרופ' אוריאל סימון, ד"ר בלה שור, ד"ר דבי וייסמן וקטע מוזיקלי עם צבי זלבסקי. תהיה הזדמנות לרכוש את הספר.

המחברת היא עולה צפון-אמריקאית אשר כותבת שירה בעברית. אמונה אלון כתבה על הספר במקור ראשון: "השירה הזאת" הוא קובץ של שירה אבל הוא גם ספר פירושים לתורה." הרב אברהם פדר, רב אמריטוס בקהילת מורשת ישראל אמר למשוררת: "את מגיבה לתורה עם קשת של רגשות מהטרגי-הנבואי ועד הקומי-הנבואי."

התכנית תתנהל בעברית. יוגש כיבוד קל.

An evening for the book “HaShirah HaZot” (“This Song”) by Dr. Bayla Schorr will take place on Saturday evening of Parshat Yitro, February 11th, at 8:15 PM at Kehillat Yedidya. The program will include Professor Uriel Simon, Dr. Bayla Schorr, Dr. Debbie Weissman and a musical selection with Zvi Zalevski. There will be an opportunity to purchase the book.

The author is a North American olah who writes poetry in Hebrew. Emunah Elon wrote in Makor Rishon about this book: “’HaShirah Hazot’ is a collection of poetry that is also a commentary on the Torah.”

The program will be in Hebrew. Light refreshments will be served.

 

 

מדריך לשירותים ומוצרים של חברי קהילת ידידיה (משמ"י) – אחד הדברים הטובים בקהילת ידידיה היא רשת התמיכה החברתית המסופקת על ידי חברי הקהילה. אנחנו רוצים לתרגם רשת זאת למדריך שירותים ומוצרים שיעזור לחברים חדשים וותיקים גם יחד. כל חבר (או קרוב משפחה מדרגה ראשונה) מוזמן לפרסם ב-משמ"י. נא לשלוח הודעות לפרסום ב-משמ"י לקליף. אישור הורה חובה למפרסמים מתחת לגיל 18 – המדריך יופיע באתר האינטרנט של ידידיה, ולכן יש לשקול איזה פרטים רוצים לפרסם. הודעות במשמ"י חייבות להיות ענייניות, תמציתיות, וכתובות בעברית ובשפה נוספת. אפשר לכלול תמונות קטנות. הפרסומת תופיעו פעם אחת בידיעות ידידיה ובמקביל תתווספנה למדריך הקבוע.

Yedidya Goods And Services Directory (YG&SD) – One of the great things about Yedidya is that it provides a support network that is useful in many ways. We have decided to initiate a goods and services directory that will be increase the effectiveness of the Yedidya support network. Any members who wish to advertise their services should write to Cliff. Anyone under 18 wishing to advertise must have parental permission - the document will be available from the website so be thoughtful about what information you want to appear in the directory. Submissions should be in Hebrew and one other language. Volunteer translators are available if needed. Ads may be placed only by Yedidya members or first degree relatives.

פרופ' עמנואל אטקס מהאוניברסיטה העברית ירצה בבית אבי חי על רבי ישראל סלנטר ותנועת המוסר. רבי סלנטר ביקש לחולל התחדשות רוחנית-דתית בקרב יהודי ליטא. מהו החידוש בהגותו של רבי ישראל מסלנט ובתפיסת המוסר שלו? כיצד ביקש להשפיע על דמות החברה? האם עלה בידו?. יום רביעי ה-1 בפברואר בשעה 19:30. דמי כניסה 30 ₪.

Lecture at Beit Avi Chai by Prof. Immanuel Etkes, Department of Jewish History, the Hebrew University in Jerusalem – Rabbi Israel Salanter and the Mussar Movement. Activity for Tu B'Shvat: A group from Yedidya is organizing to help the Rabbis for Human Rights (Shomre Mishpat) plant olive trees in the village of Genia, after trees there were uprooted in a “price tag” attack.
